Cables are a thing of the past. From the basic model for light work to the premium product for particularly demanding applications, users can now choose from a sophisticated range of HiKOKI cordless angle grinders. The 19 new cordless angle grinders are particularly powerful and can easily keep up with comparable power supply units. The power of the 18-volt models is comparable to that of 750- and 900-watt power supply unit, and the 36-volt tools can even compete with 1500-watt corded angle grinders. All angle grinders are available in the disc diameter of 125 millimetres. The 36-volt premium angle grinders also have versions with a wheel diameter of 150 millimetres. In addition to performance, HiKOKI has paid special attention to the issue of safety.
Focus on safety
Safety at work is becoming increasingly important in many companies and on construction sites. HiKOKI has therefore paid special attention to user safety while developing its new range of cordless angle grinders. All 18- and 36-volt angle grinders are equipped with important safety features. These include a fast motor brake, restart protection, soft start and kickback protection that immediately switches off the tool if it gets stuck in the material. The 18- and 36-volt premium models with slide switches – for example the G1813DVE and the G3613DVE – also have a Drop Shut Off circuit. It guarantees that the unit will shut down if it accidentally falls. Many 18- and 36-volt units in the new range are available in an additional version with a dead man's switch.
Many additional functions
The new HiKOKI angle grinder range offers many additional functions that make working easier, more comfortable and efficient for the user. The switchable so-called Auto Mode function automatically adjusts the speed to the contact pressure on the material to be processed. This means that the machine always delivers the optimum power required for the respective application. This saves energy and prevents unnecessary battery changes. In the 18-volt and 36-volt segments, tools with variable speed control are also available – this allows the machines to be optimally adjusted to the processed material. Most of the machines in the range are equipped with a 3-point side handle connection. Users can mount the handle on top of the tool and thus operate the angle grinder particularly comfortably and easily, which is useful for longer cutting applications. In the 36-volt range, two optionally switchable LED lights on all models also ensure optimum illumination of the workpiece during cutting and grinding work.
With its revised brushless battery range, HiKOKI offers the right angle grinder for every application. Together with the wide range of HiKOKI accessories, this results in an all-round strong, comfortable and safe solution.
