Hardly any other tool is as versatile as a router. With the new M3612DA, HiKOKI is now taking it to the next level: The manufacturer presents the world's first cordless plunge router with 12mm collet chuck on the market.

A real revolution

01-07-2021

Routers are among the most popular power tools in woodworking. The simple reason: they are very versatile. With HiKOKI's innovation, users can now use the tool even more flexibly. "There is as much power in this cordless router as in comparable corded tools," emphasizes Lukas Kuechenmeister, Product Manager at HiKOKI Europe. The lightweight and compact cordless router opens up completely new possibilities of flexible working for carpenters, joiners, or kitchen builders. Routing, cutting, grooving, and edging are now also possible outside the workshop.

Lots of power

The cordless router is part of HiKOKI's multi volt family. The brushless motor not only gives the M3612DA the necessary power for all standard applications, but also makes it extremely durable and low-maintenance. With a power input of 1,500 watts, the cordless router takes on a variety of different materials, such as different woods but also solid surface materials. The speed can be easily adjusted from 11,000 to 25,000 rpm, so users can choose optimal speed for any material.

Work precisely and cleanly

The milling depth of up to 50 mm can be set down to the millimeter thanks to the precise scale and the easily accessible locking lever on the M3612DA. The ergonomically designed handles guarantee optimum manoeuvrability for the user. For clean and safe working, the robust power tool can be easily connected to a vacuum cleaner thanks to the dust extraction adapter. "HiKOKI's cordless router is unique on the market," reports Kuechenmeister, "offering the user maximum flexibility with the same performance as comparable corded devices."
