The VB3616DA Rebar Cutter/Bender from HiKOKI is the first rechargeable tool in the market that can both bend and cut rebars. It can powerfully cut steel with a diameter of ten to 16 millimetres in less than three seconds and bends it under four seconds. And up to three bars can be bent or cut simultaneously – depending on the diameter of the material. Thanks to its brushless motor technology, the VB3616DA performs extremely efficiently and, with a bar diameter of ten millimetres, can manage up to 350 cuts (two simultaneously) and 630 bends (three simultaneously) on a single charge of the 36-volt rechargeable battery (2.5 Ah). This rechargeable tool is therefore highly suited to mobile use at a construction site and wherever reinforcing steel needs to be processed or modified on-site.
Clean and precise rebar processing
Thanks to the angle setting, the HiKOKI VB3616DA Rebar Cutter/Bender can bend steel bars to precise angles of 45, 90, 135 and 180 degrees. The bending process can also be controlled manually using the pressure switch, allowing bars to be bent to any angle required. With optional bending rollers, the bending radius can be reduced from the standard 62 millimetres to as low as 38 millimetres. The separation process is clean and entirely spark-free – and is therefore incredibly safe. The tool’s compact dimensions and low weight – in relation to comparable tools – of just 18.9 kilograms allow it to be moved around a construction site easily and flexibly. When it is not needed, it can be safely stored and moved around in the robust trolley case.
MULTI VOLT for maximum performance and flexibility
The HiKOKI MULTI VOLT rechargeable batteries used in the tool are powerful enough even for power-intensive applications such as cutting and bending rebars. Intelligent electronics prevent overheating, overcharging and deep discharging. And thanks to their backward compatibility, the unique rechargeable battery packs can be used not only with HiKOKI’s powerful 36-volt tools, but also with a variety of other 18-volt machines, resulting in maximum flexibility and minimum investment when building up your own set of rechargeable tools.
The VB3616DA comes with two MULTI VOLT rechargeable batteries (BSL36A18), a battery charger (UC18YSL3), a spare cutter set, a wrench, a battery cover and a sturdy case as standard. The tool will be available in stores from May 2020.
